Ok, for starters I tried booting one day and it simply did not want to boot..kept restart looping.

I let it check for disc errors it found some..ok
It couldnt repair the errors..
Tried to restore, no good..

So, I eneded up selecting the option that said reformat keeping data and settings..
Everythings all loaded up and its working fine now.

I knew I would lose my programs it specifically stated I would..but now I dont find my pictures and also my IE favoraties are gone as well..
I am a bit lost on what to do or where to look.
I do have a drive "H" now Called "Recovery (H)"

Any help is appreciated.

Specs:

Gateway GT5654
AMD Athlon 64x2 Dual Core 5000+ 2.60 GHz
3 Gig RAM
Running 32 Bit Vista

I searched the computer for files like such but came up empty.

Under:
Computer
Local Disk C
There is a "Backup" folder with many folders in there, would it be in there?
