Having had a spectactular success this morning with Tech support guy I thought you might be able to help me with another thing that has bothered me for some months.

I have a laptop running win 98 same as my desktop.
The laptop has no "A" drive, I find burning files to CD time consuming and error ridden.
Iwould like to network these 2 together using a parralel/serial cable to swap files between shared folders but they can't see each other despite my following the help instructions to the letter.
    Any suggestions guys ?

Can you provide us with a little more information such as exactly what types of cables, what workgroup/computername/network settings, where you ran into probs, errors, etc?
