I was wondering if there is a way to disable all search capabilities from the EDGE address bar. When I type in a valid address, albeit without the http:// and hit enter, EDGE opens a search page using that address. I have the requirement of going to sites that have never been crawled by search engines, as they are new and/or within my local network, and have the address form of : computer1/sitefolder/page.asp (note the lack of http and sub.domain like something.com), and EDGE launches the search page every time. I don't need or want to use the suggestion bar, as it is useless in these situations.
Is there a way to force EDGE to go to the address I typed directly instead of redirecting me through the default search engine? My OS is Windows 10 Professional version 1803, and the version of Microsoft Edge is 42.17134.

I don't think you can. I can see an area to change it, but you can't remove it if it's the only one there.
