I just got this computer for my mother. It a HP C552US laptop with Vista.
She has a habbit of putting her finger down to hard on the touch pad when moving the pointer.
I want to turn off only the "tap to click" on the touch pad.
I've played around with the sensitivity settings, but it didn't help. I would think that there would be a box to click to turn it off, but I can't find it.
Did a google search and got lots of hits, but none worked, and most I didn't understand.
I hope someone out there knows how to do this. I'm sure others would also like to know.:)

Update the Synaptics touchpad drivers. I had to update mine to get the disable option on my older laptop.
