:confused: I have windows98 se.I have dial-up connection,and I am always getting a do you want to stay on line message box every 10-15 min. Is there any place that I can set this to a longer time or even get rid of it. I have to stay on dial up because I can not get anything else where I live. Please help if you can I am not very good at this computer stuff yet , just starting to learn. Thanks

If you're using Internet Explorer, click on Tools then Internet Options, then choose the Connections tab.

Highlight your connection in the window, then click on Settings. Click the Advanced button (near the bottom next to your password info). Make sure the boxes are UNchecked in front of the 'disconnect if idle for' and 'disconnect when connection may not be needed' lines.

See if that helps.
