Hi, is this an ISP problem or a setting adjustment? --- after about 3 or 4 mins inactivity while online I am disconnected!
    ISP is BT

Here is a pictorial description to check and see if you have timeout settings and if they are enabled. If you do not have the settings enabled then you may have to speak to your ISP to help find the cause. Ignore the lawdog download stuff and just read the explaination on the disconnect.

    and this might help too.
in i.e.click on tools/internet options/connections,highlight your default connection(bt) and click settings/advanced,make sure the "disconnect if idle for"box is unchecked.
    good luck;)
