discs

    I tried to take out my disc player in which failed I yanked a bit too much like a bull in a china shop on the casing it bent out of shape a little bit. I put the outer casing back started the computer up put a disc in the disc player and it would not play. A box came up please enter disc I took the disc out put it back in repeatedly, same thing please put a disc in no disc has been entered or words to that effect. Can anyone of you nice people help please I would be very grateful thank you.:eek:

    You need a new drive.

    probably bent the internal platen to the point where it is not coming into contact with the reader, would be my guess.

    Ditto. Buy a new drive before you damage disks.

    Why? Simple. Yours is physically damaged and doesn't work any longer.
