Which version of Windows are you using (win95)? Always make sure there is no floppy accidently left in the drive. Did this message just start one day or did it begin after some problem you had?
THANK YOU for your response and query.
I'm using version 3.11. There's no floppy left in the drive. This problem began spontaneously, engendered by the device sitting untouched and unattended for the last 3-4 months, evidently. After my post, I entered bios and adjusted "C", "A" and "B" drives values, entered the data and the system worked.
You gave me the courage to make the attempt, knowing someone was listening and could supply help, if need be, upon request.
