Help. I just built a new computer and I don't know what's going on. I keep getting the error: disk boot failure, insert system disk and press enter

    Here's my scoop:
    -All new parts: IBM 30GB 7200rpm, P3 800EB, Aopen AX3S pro,128mb ram, 52x standard cd, standard floppy.
    -Boot sequence = a,c
-I am trying to use a win98 boot disk (tried 2)
    -followed my motherboard's instructions exactly
-CMOS and POST detect everything successfully

Everything checks out. What else is there? Could it be that my hard disk is dead???? A brand new Disk????

    Thank you,

    Allen
