When attempting to install Windows 98 to a newly formatted hard drive, I recieve the following message: Setup found a compressed volume or a disk cache utility on your computer. Quit setup and check your compressed volume with your disk compression software or remove the disk cache utility. Then run setup again. How can I check my compressed volume and/or remove the disk cache utility?

The first thing to try is just press the ESC key when you get that message and see if setup will continue to run. Many times it will continue on it's way and you'll be fine.
