One week ago..I had a dual boot of vista sp2 and win 7 on a WD hard disk. There was problem with one of my RAMs..but my technician was one stupid guy..he formatted the entire drive from XP Install CD.It became unaccessible from both Vista,XP,Win 7 Intsallations DVD..They said it OS cannot be installed on the disk as it was unaccessible. When I tried to initialize the disk for MBR formatting from Disk Management in Vista..It showed that the logical operation cannot be completed due to disk I/O error.I rescanned and restarted but the disk is still unallocated.
I used both Seagate and WD Diagnostic software..Both said SMART,Long DST,Short DST Long generic test...
What is the problem?Do I have to replace it?
