I am trying to update my friend's display driver. First I downloaded the new driver, uninstalled his old driver, and installed the new one. I rebooted the computer and checked to a site called DriverAgent.com that scans your computer and tells you what drivers are out of date and scanned his computer. It said that the driver was still outdated, and his games still crash or freeze up. I tried doing the same thing agian but it did the same thing. I also tried downloading the driver from a different computer and installing it on his, but it just wont install correctly. Does this sound like a hard drive problem at all? He is running Vista and is using a Nvidia GeForce 7800GT. Any help would be great!
