Display settings not working

    Hi,

    I recently tried to change my wallpaper by going through the the display properties and whenever i try to select any picture it wont update my back round picture, it just stays the same. I even tried to reboot my computer and try to change my wallpaper but still nothing. I don't know what is going on but I need some serious help, if anyone knows how i can resolve this problem please help,.

    Ankit, Go to the link below and under the letter "W"---"Wallpaper - Desktop - Disable Changing" you'll find a underscored "Allow Wallpaper/Background Changes" reg file to click on, download & run. You'll also find a manual registry edit if you so desire. If you download the reg file fix just save the REG File to your hard disk. Double click it and answer yes to the import prompt.

    Click: Allow Wallpaper/Background Changes

    Save the .reg file to your desktop. Double-click it to merge it to the registry.

    Reboot.

    If the fix only opens as a text file, right-click it and select Open With > Choose Program... Then, select the Registry Editor.

    If the Registry Editor is not in the list, browse to C:\WINDOWS and select regedit.

    Download means it will get to your desktop. But, you need to choose Save. Pretty standard. [​IMG]

    as soon as i right click the link and click save it saves it as a notepad to my desktop...

    perfect i got it i just opened up the notepad document into the rege program and restarted my computer... thanks a lot !!!
