Hey all.

I have a functioning DisplayPort MST setup. You can find all the hardware I'm using here:
Monitors
DP Cables
DP Hub
PC

I know this setup functions. The DP monitors work as intended both in the BIOS and on USB-loaded Ubuntu.

I have updated all drivers that I can think to update, and have reinstalled them many times. I factory reset my GPU & its software, upgrading to experimental versions and downloading what is probably just more AMD bloat that won't really help me.

I did a completely fresh reinstall of Windows already. This actually fixed a separate issue I was having thankfully, but still no progress here.

I have tried using only the DP monitors, set at their lowest resolutions and refresh rates. Nothing I have tried has gotten me anywhere close to figuring out the issue.

The monitors appear to work while windows is booting (shows the BIOS logo, the Windows logo, etc), but one of them becomes disconnected as soon as the Log in screen is loaded.

At this point, one of the monitors appears to be permanently disconnected by Windows.image.png.d0fd86b98851679d32a7fafcb9afe145.png

Any attempt to change my display settings results in the error, "The display settings could not be saved. Please try a different combination of display settings."

I hope someone has an idea of what the problem could be here.

Thanks,
reze

I've edited your post to remove the links under the words BIOS and USB-loaded Ubuntu as they go to your Twitter page and there is inappropriate content. If you want to show images of the issue then kindly just upload the images in a reply here. Thank you.

The one thing you didn't mention is what is your computer specs. If it's a branded machine, what is the make/model and serial/service tag? You can use our TSG System Information Tool to get the basic hardware information.

If it's a custom built, please be detailed on what parts you have, especially the video card. I too am having a similar issue but mine is with a dock. From what I know, the more of the monitors you have, the more the GPU will need to handle or the quality will need to go down, as you have seem to already done.

I linked the entire build in the original post, see the PCPartPicker link near the top.

That you did, I apologize I missed that. As to the issue, are you using the utility software that came with the video card?

I could be misreading this, but I am not entirely sure what you are saying here. You have only linked one monitor type, but looks like you are using different ones (4 looks like a 4:3 aspect ratio monitor).

What MST mode are you using and what resolution are you working at?

All monitors are 1080p, I already linked what monitors I'm using. I also already tried *all* resolutions. No modes work, unless on Ubuntu, as I said.
