distorted sound

Help

The sound coming through my speakers sound like it is coming from an empty warehouse. I have changed the speakers, but it is not them. What can I do?

 

hi,,,go to control panel,select sound effects manager,select sound effect & check the environment setting,change the environment setting to your choice & see if that fixes the problem..
