When you say "upside down", do you mean that they are playing actually with, say, the heads on the floor?

Does this happen with all movies of these types or just a few?

m2v, you say. Why this type? Its not well known, and from what I can gather, you need hardware MPEG-2 decoder or a fast system with software decoder.

What other program are you using to play these? I don't think RealPlayer will, and nor will WMP.

Looking here:

http://www.tranceaddict.com/music_videos.shtml

Videos with SVCD Format (.M2V files) require a video player
such as Elecard Mpeg2 Player v1.30 (Win9x/2k)

If you wish to use Windows Media Player to view the videos
then install the player above (FIRST) and
then install the M2V Codec and try it out.

Videos in DIVX format need the proper DIVX codec to play
The links are on the page.

See if that will help.

It depends on what card you are using. Go to Control Panel | System. Device Manager. Click on Display, you may need to expand it, and there will be the name of your video card.
