I’m completely stumped at this :(

Basically I have been having this problem where this error message comes up saying the following.

    dl.exe
The NTVDM CPU has encountered an illegal instruction.
CS:0f32 IP:fff6 OP:ff f9 ff ff 00 Choose 'Close' to terminate the application.

Once this message comes up the weirdest thing happens where the internet won’t fully work. Say I go to google.com and hit enter it will say the page is loaded but it’s blank. This happens to every website I go on. Although, if I refresh the page constantly (for about 1 min) the page will actually appear.

I have tried the usual Restarting the router, turned the computer off and on, running a defrag.

This morning I decided to format my hard drive, reinstall windows XP and start all over again hoping that it will fix the problem. Sadly after the computer was running for around 10 mins the message appeared again and the exact same problem started occurring.

I have ran out of ideas if anyone would maybe be able to shed some light on why this is happening or how to fix it I would be very grateful.

    Thanks in advance,

    James

    HI THERE.

THE PROBLEM IS THAT YOU HAVE A VIRUS. THE NAME'S PE_TENGA.A. GO TO THE LINK BELOW TO SEE THE REMOVAL DETAILS. YOU FORMATTED YOUR HARD DISK AND THEN UNKNOWINGLY RE-INFECTED YOUR OS WHEN YOU COPIED ALL YOUR OLD INFECTED FILES BACK TO THE SYSTEM. OR MAYBE IT GOT INFECTED FROM THE D OR E DRIVES OF YOUR COMP. FIRST REMOVE ALL THE VIRUS FROM YOUR COMP AND THEN REFORMAT THE HARD DRIVE TO GET OUT OF THE TROUBLE.

    CHEERS. BYE.

    Thanks alot for the help!

Just incase anyone else has the same problem as me i used a nice program from AVG called Vcleaner.exe

All you do is run it in safe mode and it fixes the problem.
