I don't know what went wrong except for that I installed the Xtreme-G drivers for my 8800gt last night. I restarted once, it worked fine. Then today I went to start it and I get a black screen after posting that says, "Verifying DMI Pool Data..." which isn't unusual. But now it just hangs there. I can't get into safe mode for whatever dumb reason, and I have tried clearing CMOS, turning off internal cacheing, check disk, and doing a system restore/startup repair. I don't know what is left to try...if all else fails I will reformat, but that shouldn't have to happen. I think if I could just roll back that driver then I could get it working again. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I've decided it's probably best to do a complete PC restore...I back up my computer to another internal hard drive every 2 days, so I have a recent backup. However, when I click on "Windows Complete PC Restore" it says it can't find any backups and won't let me find it myself (GRRR!).

There are backups...but how do I use them?
