Realised this was the better place to post this question...

I hope this is the right place to ask... i'm going INSANE looking for a solution.

I'm having trouble viewing two sites i visit daily, and my new domain. I keep getting the usual 'cannot find server or dns error' page - but i know others can view the sites fine.

These worked fine until about 2 days ago. I can ping, but not browse. It wont show using the IP either.

Is there anyone that can offer some help? I've cleared temp. files, caches, flushdns - etc ... still no luck.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I also did the hijack this log... if its any help. Maybe its a virus, but i have antivurus software...

    and

    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\VS7DEBUG\MDM.EXE

Don't delete 2nd one if you know what this is.
Then run Adware and Spybot and an online virus scanner to weed out any viruses / trojans / worms.

Hi MissB, and welcome to TSG.. :)

Some info on those files for you...

    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [NvMediaCenter] RUNDLL32.EXE C:\WINDOWS\System32\NVMCTRAY.DLL,NvTaskbarInit

    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\VS7DEBUG\MDM.EXE

    C:\WINDOWS\System32\RUNDLL32.EXE

    A valid system file.

    ==========================

    But this could do it........

    O4 - Global Startup: D-Link AirPlus Utility.lnk = ?

This is the wireless modem connection... and it's got no-one to talk to (I think, I've never used one) hence the ? at the end. The first thing you could try is to reinstall this.

    Hope that helps..

    Cheers

    Liam
