Not sure if this is the right forum but I'll give it a shot.

Promoted a new server to a Domain Controller in my domain, installed DNS to run alongside the existing DNS server on the other domain controller. Active Directory is replicating perfectly.

The reverse lookup zone replicated almost immediately with all the machines in the domain. However, the forward lookup zone only shows records for the two domain controllers/dns servers. NSlookup resolves both dns servers, but still no records it the forward zone. I went to a PC and did a ipconfig /registerdns, but still nothing. I'm about to he point of reinstalling dns.

    Any suggestions?
