    The change in the dns search order will ___? Which one or both? I appreciate any help.

    Will tell the computer where the system is loated
    Will tell the computer where the DNS server is located

    Confussed, what is your question ? what are you trying to accomplish ?
    DNS is domain name service it is for associating an ip to a name or name to ip
    all NT machine usw it as opposed to win9x and ME that use wins.

    Neither. Your system will go to the first DNS listed first, if it times out with no response, then your system will go to the next DNS listed. Normally you would not do this unless you experience time-outs with the primary DNS.

    Or had to change DNS addy to due to a new domain host!
