I've put in a new sound card which has no CD audio input. Does anyone know of CD player software which uses the digital audio as input rather than the usual little cable?

I think Windows media Player 7 does,...well mine does anyway. The Creative media player that came bundled with my soundblaster live won't. The cdplayer must be high quality to efficently extract digital audio. I once had a generic cdrom that stumbled all over digital audio but played ok with a cable hooked up.
