i recently built a computer myself. With b450 tomahawk, rysen 5 3600, geforce gtx 1660 and other preferals. my motherboard HDMI does not work. though the hdmi on my gpu works.the other ports on my motherboard seem to be working fine. Is this problem, because my cpu does not have integrated graphics or is it a motherboard defect

What CPU do you have?
When you say other ports on the MOBO work are you refering to display ports like VGA?
Is Integrated Graphics enabled in the BIOS?
Are your CPU drivers up-to-date?

Not possible for it to work. The onboard video ports on the motherboard are to support the APU series of processors [that actually have video] The ryzen 3600 you listed has no video. You can connect a monitor to those ports until the cows come home; never going to work.

As crjdriver explained the graphics ports on the motherboard will not work with your Cpu, they only work if the Cpu provides graphics and your Cpu does not.
