Do I need ZoneAlarm if I have a cable router with built in NAT? I tested my security through the shieldsup website and that test could not even "see" my system. It said nothing else was necessary, but I have heard that NAT is not impenetreble and running ZoneAlarm couldn't hurt. I would be curious to see if there are any attempts to hack that get past the router. Would a software firewall kill my system's performance while surfing? My system is not exactly turbocharged, ie. Celeron 566 with 512mb. any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Any added insurance is always a good bet even with a router firewall installed. Remember a onboard firewall works in both directions and will alert you to any spyware that may be trying to phone home or help prevent any other malicious attack that got through the first line defense. As far as system resources....you will find very little loss.
