Hey all,

The built-in 56k modem in my no-name beige box appears to have died, and rather than actually try to hack it out and replace it, I was wondering if any USB modem (mostly software modems today, I guess) can replace it as far as Telix for Windows goes. Yep, Telix for Windows is rather ancient, but I need to use it, and I was wondering if Telix will recognize a USB modem like any serial/built-in modem taking up a COM port. Or would I actually need to find me a serial modem + USB/serial adapter or something like that? Thanks in advance!
