Do you have to leave thermal compound to "settle"?

    Hi there,

    Is there a waiting time after youve put thermal compound on a cpu before you should boot the pc up for the first time? Does it need to settle?

    Or does it make no difference?

    No difference. It isn't very fluid, but the heat will make it fill in any gaps faster than room temperature.
