Do you think that cloud services are safe?

It seems at least for me that information on the cloud can be reached by anyone (even if the cloud is private) if there is a security breach.

NO, I do not use the cloud for anything that I do not want to be shared with anyone.

As Colon said, it is just a bigger network for the World to access if not the the Universe

If you think about it, gmail and such are cloud based services, and they implement 2FA and captcha to protect it's system.

I trust Cloud Services as much as everything else, I use Acronis Cloud Backup, and I trust since it is a pretty big firm that they protect their users.:)

For me, it just depends what the 'service' is.

IMO, there are some things that simply have too much exposure to unsavory conclusions.
I don't/won't bank online but I will do a credit check.
I don't save data or backup data to the 'cloud'. I don't want it out of my control and it's simply more convenient and inexpensive saved locally.
It's cheaper to own a license to apps like Office than buy yearly subscriptions. And open source software like LibreOffice is quality at a price MS simply can't compete with. Free.

So I pick and choose. Do I trust absolutely? Umm....no. There's always risk connecting to a network. It's why we have firewalls and antimalware apps ;)

Facebook is a cloud service.

If that got hacked then all hell would break loose.

Thats why you have to watch what you put on the net.

As with all cloud services, use with caution.

Johnny, I deleted your post only because the user you quoted was a spammer and their post has been deleted so it's no longer relevant. :)

They are as safe as the security implemented on them and the programmers to make sure there are no holes.

OneDrive/GoogleDrive I have yet had an experience where I have lost or have data stolen, but that is for work purposes.
