On my start menu the Documents link instead of pointing to
C:\users\(my user name)\My Documents points instead to
C:\users\(my user name)\My Computers\My Documents

How do I get it to point the right place ?

Right-click on 'Documents' in the Start menu then click 'Properties' then in the new window click on the 'Restore defaults' button.
