    Is everything working OK though?

Can you doubleclick the icons and are they opened as they should?

Did this start happening after installing or uninstalling a program?

Try reentering the correct registry values for Gifs and Jpegs.

    Download the attached JPG-GIF.txt.

Rename it to (Save as) JPG-GIF.Reg.

    Doubleclick your new regfile.
Answer 'yes' to have it imported into the Registry

    Works for Win98 and ME.

    Good luck,
