I remember awhile ago that I installed Spybot S&D and after using it, most of the webpages I used the most wouldn't open at all. I tried opening the pages using different browsers, and doing a google/yahoo search and opening them by clicking the link that they provided. And that still didn't work. I ended up reformating and not useing SB S&D anymore. The reason I am asking is, because I suggested it to one of the people I did some tech work for, but I don't want them to use it before I am sure that it won't do the same thing to them that it seemed to do to me. As about all they do is browse the web with their PC.

I have and use that program it doesn't block pages unless you set it to block spyware as it is downloaded or something like that. LavaSoft makes a program called AD Aware that is just as good and has a very good free version.

You must have tweaked its settings as the default settings do not harm your internet travels whatsoever..

Even if you do set it to block ads it will not keep the page from opening.
It just gives an alert that it has blocked the download.
