domain switches vs full fabric switches

    hi,

    Could anyone explain the difference between domain (controller)switches and full fabric switches? (or direct me to a page/site which would do the job)

    Depends on what context you're talking about. Your statement is a bit "Apples and Gorillas" The two really aren't related to each other.

    If I was able to find out what each could do generally. a domain does x, the full fabric y.
    My basic understanding is that the domain switch is a normal switch, but the fabric switch is made more intelligent by software (whole package sold as a management system type of thing)
    Is this correct?
