I am on a DOMAIN right now on my laptop, however I want to set up a home wireless network and told by a friend that I need to change that to workgroup.

I changed it before - and I seemed to have lost the WHOLE profile, and all my desktop icons, and structure of my windows.

Anyone know of a way to accomplish this, without losing anything?

You don't have to be on a workgroup to have connectivity at home....

Short of that answer if your putting your machine in a workgroup you have to log in with your domain profile - run F.A.S.T. and save it to a directory somewhere - then pull it off the domain and log in with a local account and rerun F.A.S.T.

Files and settings transfer wizard - it's under the accessories/system tools/Files and settings transfer wizard

You're going to have to join the domain first and hopefully the domain account profile info is still there.
