Many times as I am Logging on I get the get the following message:
Although this page is encrypted, the information you have entered is to be sent over an unencrypted connection and could be read by a third party.
Are you sure you want to continue sending this information
    continue cancel

If I hit cancel it logs me off Firefox
If I hit continue it lets me on

Why do I get this when I haven't entered "ANYTHING"?

    Thank you in advance

I already owe the person responsible for REMINDERFOX a donation for his help and I am also willing to make a personal donation to WHOM EVER for their help.
However; I do not at this time believe I want to enter my credit card on here until I know that NO third part will be able to ready my card info.

When you send me a reply; please let me know if it is OK to send a donation and I will and you folks can split it up any way you like.

    Thank you

We hate spam and security problems as much as you do. In fact, this whole site is here precisely to help people with their security problems of any nature, so it would be very much against our best interests to give or allow this information to be seen by any third parties. Our reputation is based on the fact that we help people keep their information and their computers more secure. Therefore, it is if the highest priority to us to keep any sensitive information, such as credit cards, completely private.

We absolutely guarantee that your credit card information will NOT be given to ANY third parties, and that every single cent of the donation goes directly to the costs of running this site and maintaining the high quality of security and performance of this website by keeping software and hardware pertaining to the running of this site up to date.

I hope that answers your questions.

Foremost at BUNCH OF B.S. from me that doesn't matter at all to you!

First let me say that I still get the Encrypted page message when I "Logon" to Firefox!

Second; regardless I still want to donate because I worked 32 years in Software and Hardware Problem Isolation/ Identification/Resolution and know a little about what you people go through!

So regardless of how stupid I might be and I say that because I can't resolve the problem myself and that makes me absolutely mad! The only reason I don't blow my brains is because I don't have access to your mainframe or mid-range computer processor you are running off offl

Third; I want to donate because I owe the person who helped me on "REMEMBERFOX CALENDAR" FIX MY PROBLEM AND I STILL OWE THAT PERSON!

When you have spent 35 years in software and hardware doing everything from breaking to fixing problems, you learn to appreciate the people who are trying to help you; when "I" have a problem!

I happen to be one of the world worse people when it comes to problems; because I was also manager of Technical Support and responsible for 32 Mainframes and over 100 Mid-Range processors throughout the United States and I ABSOLUTELY HATE PROBLEMS! SORRY!

    Anyway; a bunch of B.S.!
I still have the problem but want to contribute regardless but will not put my credit card number on a site I don't trust.
Please provide me with a phone number to call and I will donate cash or what ever until the problem is resolved!
    You have my email address.
Thank you for everything you have done and are trying to do to help me and my problem!
    Sincerely;
    Lanny Foster

I've combined both of your threads here.

Please clarify what you mean. You say when you log on to Firefox, what does that mean? You don't log on to Firefox. Do you mean when you open Firefox you get that message? Or are you refering to when you log on to this site and enter your password?

I'm not sure what your question is, but if you don't feel safe using your credit card to donate, you can always do so using PayPal or mailing a check. (See http://www.techguy.org/donate.html ) If you don't feel like donating or don't like any of those methods, you're still welcome to use the site. If you're getting some kind of security error while using our site, you'll have to describe the problem a little more clearly for us to help.

You are correct, sorry. When I click on my Firefox icon and firefox begins to come up. I get the message. Then I either have to enter continue or cancel.

What is your home page that Firefox opens to?

Also, what version of Firefox do you have?
