In case you missed the article in the TSG Newsletter, www.DonorsChoose.org is a web site that allows you to help fund a project at a public school. All projects work directly with students, and you can choose based on location, income level, and type of product (books, technology, etc).
I've donated to the site in the past, but today is the start of the DonorsChoose 2008 Blogger Challenge. Even though we're not technically a blog, Tech Support Guy has been included in the challenge! All we win is bragging rights... and knowing that we're helping the future of America! (You can see where we stand on this leader board.)
To make a difference, head over to the TSG Challenge Page and choose a project that you'd like to support. If you make a donation of $20 or more, forward me the confirmation email (mike@techguy.org) and I'll throw your name into a hat. We're working on figuring out what kind of prizes I can hand out, but it will likely include TSG swag (like a T-shirt) and ads-free Premium Memberships. Maybe a dinner with Candy? Nah, you're not that lucky.
I hope we can make a difference!
