    Hello i'm to this forum,

Normally i try to solve computer problems myself, but after spending 3 days looking on forums and trying 'solutions' i finally give up and ask help on this forum.

For the last days my computere refuses to connect with my wireless internet.
I tried to find the problem with troubleshooting, but every time i finally manage to solve a problem a new one would arise. All the devices at my home can connect with the network except my computer.

My computer tries to connect with the wireless network. It says it is connected to the network but doesn't have internet acces, it also says it is a unidentified network. Troubleshooting found these 2 problems:
-problem with wireless adapter or access point
-wireless network connection doesn't have a valid ip configuration

Ipconfig shows that there is not a standardgateway (it's empty)
    The things i tried are:
    -uninstalling and reinstalling the networkaddaptor
-system restore to a date before i had problems with the internet connection
    -ipconfig/release and then ipconfig/renew
-turning of all computers and the modem, and then starting up the modem and the computers one at a time
    -netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt
and a few others that i cant remember anymore.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Were you previously able to connect to this wireless network and no changes to the network were made? If so, disable encryption on the router and try to connect. If successful you can probably just re-enable encryption and reconnect.

I cant try this out because i do not have a ethernet cable and i would need to make a hole in my ceilling,

I used the wireless network without problem for months, i didnt change any setting it just stopped working suddenly. Can you tell me how exactly i can disable encryption on the router?
Thanks for the quick response from both of you

Login to the router (preferably with an ethernet connected computer), navigate to the wireless section, and change the Encryption or Security Mode to 'none' or 'off' or similar. Probably then have to click on 'Apply' or something like that.

169.254.28.27 is an APIPA address which in short means that the computer cannot contact a DHCP server to get an IP address.
