    Almost has to be liquid nitrogen or some sort of dry ice setup to keep it from smoking immediately. That chip is most likely dead.

    Look again. I think he is full of BS. He hasn't hit F10 yet. That is all estimated and those guys are afraid to call him on it. He hits F10 and he has no boot. :rolleyes:

    What some won't do?? I am skeptical to say the least.

    OK, I'll go back and take a look. 7.2 ghz has got to be a record of some sort.

    Yeah the system is OCed to 7, but he only has windows booting to 5, to check stability, and he has been posting screen shots each times he takes a step up...

    Considering that Tom's Hardware had heat issues with the P4 3.8's resulting in thermal throttling and damage to the CPU, when running at stock speed with stock cooling, I can only imagine that this guy's 3.8, if he booted it under that setup, is damaged and the CPU is probably throttling down due to the immense heat generated.

    It may look nice, but what good is a PC if it isn't stable ? There is no way, IMO, that PC is even remotely close to being stable. It may get into Windows, but I seriously doubt it could run any applications without running into problems.

    Nevertheless, it is an impressive overclock. His cooling system looked insane. :p
