I recently purchased an EMachine with Windows XP. I had two Lexmark 1100 Jetprinters and am unable to install them with the new system. Can someone please help.
    Thanks.

You will need to install the drivers for XP.

Here is the link: Lexmark XP Drivers for Lexmark CJ1100 Printer That should be the driver you need. However, I suggest that you should manually install the driver (Use Add Printer). Make sure you have no other printers listed.

From an email I got from Dorothy:
Yes that is correct. It is asking you to save the file onto your computer. Usually just click OK to save it (download it). When the progress screen comes up, make sure that the *Close when download complete* option is unchecked. That way you can run the program when the file is finished downloading by pressing Open.
Judging by the size of the file, it looks like the same thing you had on Windows 98
