Hi All, hope this is the right forum.
I have a DOS data collection program that ran under DOS 6.2, on a laptop + docking station that had 4 physical COM ports.
The program expects to see COM5 - COM8
The laptop has died, so I want to use a modern laptop running XP (although I could instal Win 98 SE), with a USB - 4 x RS232 converter.
Problem is, the DOS program won't recognise the virtual COM ports. The guy who wrote the software lost the source code (written in C++), and I only have the .exe file.
Any ideas how I can get things working again?
