    Hello everyone,

I am looking to download red hat for (free). I heard that it is freely distributed on the net. I am totally new to this so if someone provides a web site, this newbie will need to know exactly what I am looking at to download.

    thanks guys & gals

Go to redhat.com, you'll need to download 3 iso files and a boot file. Burn them to a cdr using nero or something else other than what's built into windows. These will be your 3 installation disks if you do it right. (You cannot simply copy the files to the cdr using the cd-writing software that comes with windows XP, these must be written as ISO's.) Boot off the first cd and good luck from there. LOL
