We have just bought a new home computer running Windows XP and are trying to download a number of fairly large files from word on our old machine running Windows 98. We have tried using a parrallel cable between the two printer terminals and appear to have connected the two computers. Unfortunately, once connected we do not know how to actually download the files from one computer to the other........Please can anyone help
    Yours hopefully.........Very stressed Rosie

    Welcome to TSG!
After connecting them you will have to set up the protocol for them to talk to eachother and share files. Here is a Webpage that explains the process.
