Are you sure it's MPEG your trying to save. Media such as RAM (Realplayer) won't have that option for example.

Are you sure it's an MPEG?

Go to any download site with a downloadable program and see if you can download that using save target as.
If not, what version of IE are you using?

Hi Graham,

Is this only the case when rightclicking Mpeg files, or with everything you right click?
And what version of Windows are you running?

Grtz.

Try this (fro Win98 and ME)

Copy the Bold to Notepad. Save as Unknown.reg Double click to enter into the registry.

REGEDIT4

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Unknown]
"AlwaysShowExt"=""

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Unknown\shell]

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Unknown\shell\openas]

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Unknown\shell\openas\command]
@="C:\\WINDOWS\\rundll32.exe shell32.dll,OpenAs_RunDLL %1"

Reboot.

Good luck,
