Depends where you are getting it from really. There is loads of licensed/legal music available. If you are referring to places like Kazaa or Winmx type file sharing places where you are getting the music from another private individual, well there's a can of worms for you. Napster the original file sharing client has indeed been taken to court and lost - so no more unlicensed music from them. My understanding is that Kazaa may be next. It seems that the old copywriting laws may be catching up with this new way of getting music. It was supposedly a grey area, as it only could be as there was no internet when copywriting rules were written, but the writing is probably on the wall, if napster failed, for the others too. They have to be taken to court individually I think, someone else may prove me wrong there. That's my story anyway and I'm sticking to it. If you stop getting music now then that's very commendable, you're probably the only one in the world who isn't, so for the moment, get 'em while they're hot! (no pun intended)
