I loved the way my Apple (retina 13" MacBook Pro running 2.6Ghz i5, OSX 10.9.5) software & Image Browser EX from Canon downloaded and catalogued our photos by putting them into folders by camera ID and date... And then deleted them from the camera if I wished. Something happened a while ago and the menu that appeared as soon as the camera was plugged in (USB) did not appear. The camera does not show up in Finder and I suspect it has something to do with preferences, but I do not know where I should be looking to give the computer the direction it needs to see the different cameras as they are plugged into the USB port. However after shutting down the computer, unplugging the camera and restarting the computer - it complains that a device was disconnected improperly after shutting down. I can force Image Browser to download the photos but they are not allocated by camera name and date. Any help will be appreciated...
