    Hi there,

    This is the situation:
    Windows NT 4.0 SP6a, Office 97 SR2.

We have a small company and are going to migrate to XP within 6 months, but at the moment a serious thing is happening, which is keeping us very busy. Just randomly people get Dr Watson messages when they are working in Word 97. Sometimes people get them 4 times a day, but not everyone is getting them. And sometimes it just seems to disapear for a while.

We have checked what we have rolled out last period, but it all did not seem to be related. Even at a very clean machine, with only the basic software, the problem keeps comming back. Going thru the Dr Watson logs does not give me more information... what the hell is standing there!?!?

Can anybody help me out with this? Beneath you will find the DrWatson log.
    Your help is much appreciated.

    Tomas :)

    Where is normal.dot?

Please let me know: Tools-Options, File locations tab, User templates. What location is provided? And is it shared by others or does everyone have their own?

Does the company use macros in their Word files?
Have you attempted Word troubleshooting on any of these PCs?

Thanks for the info. With this I finally could pinpoint the problem. Seems that some Vb add-in is causin' this problem. Don't have the solution yet, but the source is clear now.

    Thanks again!!!!!! :) (y)
