I have text fields on my website that allows users to request literture but it does not allow them to use special charicters (@, -, ., #, etc) Is there something I can add to the code that will allow them to use charicters?
I inserted the text object by going to (in Dreamweaver) Insert-->Form Object-->Text Field.
    My current code:
    <input name="companyname" type="text" id="companyname" size="50" maxlength="50<font color="#FF0000"><br>
    Thanks. lnewby

Unless there is some sort of form validation going on you should be able to enter any text you want.

It has something to do with choosing the proper character set.
