I'm trying to install TV software but I get the message, "Make sure your driver is propery installed!". The install includes the driver so I don't see what the problem is. If I try to look at the driver in system>device manager to see what's there I get the message, "MMC cannot open file D/windows/system32/devmgmt.msc". Any help appreciated.

I think we need know a little more of what it is you are trying to do?
You are trying to load tv software but have you installed a tv capture card?
Quite often the drivers have to be loaded before the card is installed

Yes, I'm re-installing a couple of TV cards to see which may be best. One is an old Hauppauge WinTV Go and the other is an slightly less old AverTVMedia. You may have a point there about installing the driver before the card, though I've just downloaded DScaler and I have no problems with that. I'd just liked to have seen these cards viewed through their own software. Dscaler shows the Aver card to be massively better than the Hauppauge one but I'm not overly happy that Dsacaler's maximum frame grab width of 768px (the Hauppauge, I believe, does 1024). How does this affect the MMC?
