I occasionally get a blue screen with the following at the top:

    DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

    and at the bottom:

    Technical Information:

    ***STOP: 0x000000D1
    ....

    ***senfilt.sys

Running a Dell Dimension 4600 with Windows XP Home edition. I had installed 1 Gig of RAM a while back. Could the problem be attributed to that? I have no idea. Please help. Thanks

senfilt.sys appears to be associated with Creative or SoundMax drivers

You should probably remove and reinstall them.

Ok, thank you. If I delete senfilt.sys, would that cause problems with my audio? How do I remove and reinstall?

    Yes, don't delete it.

Go to the Dell support site and input your service tag. Find the audio drivers for your system and follow the instructions that should be there to install them.
