Please pardon me if i'm posting in the wrong place. I'm having a problem with my msi dh24aa dvd rom drive and magicjack. When i go to the device manager both devices are unable to install new drivers from the internet and i can't install them from my disks :(

There is a message that the registry for the devices has been changed and i do believe the problem was caused by an anti virus update but not sure.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the devices in the device manager with no luck. Also when i go to the msi live update i can't install the updates (n)

Once again pardon me if this is the wrong place to post...I've been trying to fix this all day and i'm a bit frazzeled.

thanks

Are you saying that your DVD burner is not working at all? Is that why you are trying to update? Or are you saying it is working but you are trying to update drivers anyway?

When you say you have tried to uninstall and install them with no luck, does that mean it would not let you uninstall the drivers that are there already? Or you where successful in that but not installing again?

The message you got, what where you trying to do when you got that? Did that come up no matter what you where trying to do? or just when you where trying to do one of the things you mentioned you tried

What happened to make you think its antivirus? does it say its blocking anything?

Could it be that you are unable to get the drivers off the disc because there is a cable loose? is the drive working at all? I am presuming it is or the draw would not open

Would help if we had a bit more detail.
