Hi Bob Sandler, welcome to TSG.

Do you have the cd that came with the computer?

Have you tried reinstalling from there?

If you don't have the driver check the manufacturers web site for one.

If you can't find one you could use the following although it is rather old 1997 version

    Manufacturer:
    Crystal Semiconductors

    Device Type:
    Sound Cards

    Model:
    CS4236, CS4236B, CS4232, CS4232A, CS4237B

    File Name:
    CS4236_Win9x_ver201.zip

    Size:
    625498 bytes

    OS:
    Windows 95 & Windows 98

    Comments:
I am using this driver for CS4236 (without 'B', not a CS4236B) soundcard. Works great!

Maybe you people can also use this driver with CS4232, CS4232A, CS4236, CS4236B, CS4237B, CS4238B (as written in the Readme.txt file).
