Hi
I'm having a problem with the driver for Intel(R) Management Interface.
My machine is HP Pavilion p6320uk, Core i5 650, Win 7 64 bit, 6GB.
Error message:
Driver problem was detected on Device "Intel(R) Management Interface"
I have 2 options update driver or revert to previous driver. Try update. Fails. Try revert to previous. Nothing happens. Error message still present after reboot.
Check HP support pages. BIOS is not most up to date. Update BIOS. Successful but now an extra error message saying that an unknown device has a problem with it's driver!
Support page also has link to original driver for Intel(R) Management Interface. Download. Install. Fails generating error message:
1261: Ole exception on line 888 of W:\Patches
com exception SWbemLocator Not found.
I'm afraid this is meaningless to me.
Can anyone explain in simple terms what Intel(R) Management Interface is, what it does and should I worry that there is a driver problem?
Any help, suggestions gratefully received. TIA.
Big Al
